Why should I choose Cerilean Medical Aesthetic Training?

This course is designed for Medical Professionals. The online portion can be taken by anyone who is interested in Aesthetic Injectables but it is heavy on anatomy and is geared to Medical Professionals. Upon completion of the online course, Medical Professionals should ensure that aesthetic injectables are within their professional scope of practice before enrolling in the Hands-On portion.

Step 1: The online courses are divided into 2 courses: Neurotoxin and Dermal Fillers. These courses have been developed with an award winning E-learning specialist to give you the maximum benefit in learning and retention

Step 2: Once you have completed the online course, you will be able to write a multiple choice exam.

Step 3: After successfully passing the exam, you will be able to register for the Hands- On portion.

You can take the online Neurotoxin and Dermal Filler course separate or together.

The Hands-On portion is structured to be as close to an office day as possible, therefore multiple injections of both Neurotoxin and Dermal fillers will be expected.

We are proud to say that we provide among the highest number of Hands- On practice hours available.  The morning of the first day will consist of practice on synthetic model heads followed by treatment of a live model patient by the instructor. After a working lunch, the rest of the course is hands -on live patients by the students.

This course will give you the anatomical and aesthetic basis to treat most of the concerns your patients will ask about. However, sometimes a practitioner will want to shore up their skills or gain confidence in certain treatments. We have Skill Check weekends 6 times per year to allow for Practitioner directed advanced learning. We also are frequently adding to our course catalogue for those who desire more training.

Vicki Mulyk has been a Registered Nurse since 1984. She discovered her passion for Aesthetics in 1998, becoming one of the first Nurse Injectors in Canada. In 2005, she founded Cerilean Medical and contracted to several Physician Offices to treat patients desiring safe, artistic treatment of their aesthetic concerns. Vicki developed a reputation for treating complications from other injectors. And she realized that training was needed. In response she started training Medical Professionals in 2012.  Since then she has trained Medical Professionals through out North America. She has a passion for teaching and has gained a reputation of excellence.

The online portion can be taken by anyone who wishes to elevate their theoretical level of knowledge of Neurotoxins and Dermal Fillers. The Hands -on portion is not divided amongst Medical professional since all must pass the core competencies. However some Medical Professionals may wish to train with those in the same profession. This can be done by contacting us directly. We can set up a private training in your clinic.

The online courses are divided into 2 courses: Neurotoxin and Dermal Fillers. Through the course, there are quizzes to assess your understanding. If you choose to stop your learning journey at that point, you can request a Certificate of Completion.

Once you have completed the online course, you will be able to write a multiple choice exam.

Upon passing the exam, you will be after to request a Certificate of Completion.

The best option in your learning journey would be to continue on to take the Hands- On portion of the program. While treating live patients, your instructor will ensure you are aware of the core competencies required to successfully be certified by Cerilean Medical Aesthetic Training.

We recognize that sometimes due to the timing of our courses and/ or the number of staff required to be trained, you need us to come to you. Contact us in order to arrange a private training.

This online and hands-on nature of this course will give you the foundation to perform the treatments most requested in your office. Medical Aesthetics is an evolving discipline, and we urge you to never be complacent in your lifelong goal of excellence in this discipline. Therefore, we will be updating with new courses as needed. Presently the courses are held in Edmonton, Richmond and Vancouver.

In order to register for the Hands On portion, you will need to pass the multiple choice exam at the end of the online courses with a minimum of 70%.  You will be given a total of 3 chances to do so. If you are unable to pass on the third try, you will be prompted to contact us. We will work with you to see what we can do to help you succeed. At the beginning of the Hands On course, you will be given a sheet with Core Competencies that we will be evaluating you on in order to receive your certificate. We are here to help you succeed. In the rare instance, that you are not able to pass the core competencies, we will conference with you to find a solution to continue your learning journey.

You will be invited to the Skill Check weekends that happen 6 times per year. This is a Practitioner driven workshop. We will find out what you need and tailor the weekend to the participant’s goals. We will be adding to our course Catalogue as needed. Just let us know what you would like to see added.
